Pass Willard Brook State Forest and Walden Pond, explore a quaint New England restaurant nestled among picturesque scenery, and stop at a lovely farm stand featuring a farm store and beautiful grounds.  Your guide will navigate fall's changing colors as you tour across Boston, making stops in quiet New England towns along the way for you to capture photos of the brilliant landscape.

You’ll be picked up from your Boston hotel in the morning and taken on a comfortable drive by air-conditioned coach through the New England countryside. Experience the beauty of this amazing region during autumn as you travel amongst gently rolling hills awash with vibrant reds, oranges, yellows, browns and greens. On board, your guide will detail the changing colors of the foliage around you as you tour Boston.
Travel past quiet ponds and lakes, centuries-old farms, vast prairies, weathered roadside taverns and unique colonial churches. Stop for coffee at a local coffee shop in Groton (own expense), pass Willard Brook State Forest, a Massachusetts state park located in Ashby and Townsend about 50 miles (80 km) from Boston. Continue to Ashby Common, a small park and church located in a quiet neighborhood, for more photo opportunities.

Next, visit a quaint restaurant nestled in the heart of the mountains in New Hampshire to stretch your legs, wander around at your leisure, and enjoy a buffet lunch (included). Continue to the small New Hampshire town of Peterborough for another scenic photo stop before finishing your afternoon with a visit to a local farm stand.  Items from the store may be purchased at your own expense.
After your tour, continue enjoying the scenery on your way back to your hotel, arriving around 6pm.

This tour is seasonal and only operates from September through October.

This tour begins with a convenient hotel pickup for selected hotels in downtown Boston and several suburban hotel locations.

Autumn is a special time in Cape Cod. Summer’s warmth still lingers, yet the multicolored splendor of New England’s foliage offers a superb accent to the already beautiful vistas of the magical land south of Boston.

After crossing the Cape Cod Canal, we’ll stop in Hyannisport, where we’ll visit a memorial to President John F. Kennedy and a nearby beach. We join a narrated sightseeing cruise of Hyannis Harbor, which offers the best possible view of the Kennedy Compound. Time is provided for shopping and lunch on your own at one of the many nearby restaurants after the cruise.

Then travel down the 'King's Highway' through historic Sandwich and stop at the Sandwich Glass Museum. The museum exhibits nearly 5,000 pieces of glass produced at the Boston & Sandwich Glass Company between 1825 and 1888. You will have the opportunity to watch a 20 minute glass blowing demonstration that is truly enthralling. Additional free time is provided to explore Sandwich.

The Fall Foliage bike ride is an amazing way to see Boston’s most famous green spaces in a ‘green’ way while the colors of autumn settle in. From the shaded boulevard on Commonwealth Avenue to the popular shores of Jamaica Pond to the winding paths of the Arnold Arboretum, this route is a fabulous way to experience Boston's beauty in the fall. Tour Mount Vernon, the Marine Memorial and the National Cathedral. Enjoy an illumination tour of the monuments; the Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial as well as the White House and Capitol.

    Day 1: On arrival in DC, join your fellow travelers for your Washington DC Experience. Breakfast and dinner are included.

    Day 2: Your tour of our nation’s capital includes a visit to Ford’s Theater where Lincoln was shot. Your next stop is the WWII Memorial. This impressive monument is dedicated to those who served in World War II, and is sure to move you. We continue on be the FDR Memorial, located along the tidal basin. When the cherry blossoms are out this is a magnificent view and brings to life the beliefs of Franklin D. Roosevelt. This afternoon we visit Arlington National Cemetery and take a narrated tram ride through the cemetery. On your tour visit the grave sites of JFK and RFK, see the Memorial to the Challenger Explorers, the tomb of the unknown soldiers, and witness the changing of the guard. Our last stop of the afternoon is the National Archives where you can view our countries most important documents. (The lines at the National Archives is often 45 minutes to an hour). Breakfast and Dinner.

    Day 3: We depart the hotel at 8am to be at Mount Vernon when it opens. Tour the home of George and Martha Washington, visit the grave sites, and see the farm that George Washington was so proud of. On our return from Mt. Vernon we visit the Marine Memorial ant the famous Iwo Jima flag raising sculpture. In the afternoon visit the Capitol Visitor Center and learn how the congress works. You have the remainder of the day to enjoy the Smithsonian Museums. Tonight we feature an illumination tour to see the monuments in their entire splendor. On the tour see the Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and Korean Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial as well as the White house and Capitol illuminated. Breakfast and Dinner

    Day 4: Begin the day with a visit to the National Cathedral. Next it is on to Embassy Row and Georgetown. In the afternoon visit the Newseum, the museum that makes the news come alive. Breakfast and Dinner.

    Day 5: This morning start the day with one of the most moving museums in Washington, the Holocaust Museum. This museum serves as a reminder of mans inhumanity to man, lest we never forget or allow genocide to continue throughout the world. If you are not interested in the Holocaust Museum you can have the morning to visit any of the other Smithsonian Museums located nearby. In the afternoon you are transferred to the train for the return trip home (extra cost). Breakfast.
